Creating your Bespoke Gin

Imagine owning your own gin brand. Or perhaps you’re a Corporate wanting to create something special and unique to promote your organisation. We can develop and distill a unique, bespoke gin for you, with the Bespoke Gin Creation Service from Sky Wave Gin. Your gin will be created by Andy Parsons, the same Master Distiller who created the World’s Best Contemporary Gin 2020. That expertise has already landed a number of highly prestigious international awards for our partners, including at the World Gin Awards and the London Spirits Competition. You too could have a world class award winning gin.
The Process
We work with you to create your brand new gin. We spend time understanding what you are trying to achieve and the flavour profile you want to create. Many people create a gin by choosing the botanicals from the start, but this is a mistake. Rather, it is critical to design the flavour first. Our art is then to choose the optimum combination of botanicals and quantities to achieve that flavour profile. Gins have a nose, a beginning, mid-section, depth, and a finish. Understanding what you want across these, and then delivering for you, is what makes our skills stand out from the crowd – and why our bespoke gins have won so many awards.
Pricing
We charge £390 plus VAT for a proof of concept. This includes 2 hours of development, including discussion with you via phone calls or emails, followed by distilling the proof of concept. We create the gin to your flavour profile, and deliver a 500ml bottle to you. Remember, the very same Master Distiller who created the World’s Best Contemporary Gin 2020 will be working with you to create your gin.
Any further development work is then charged at £100 per hour plus VAT (a development still run takes about 3 hours). We will do as many iterations as you like. We cannot make any guarantees as distilling, and taste, is so subjective – but we usually achieve a delighted customer within one or two iterations. If you already have a proven recipe we can distill that for you too.
The cost per bottle for the production run of your gin then depends on many factors: size of order; strength of the gin, whether we are bottling for you or shipping the gin in bulk, type and size of bottle, labels, label design* etc. Therefore it is impossible to give a price here; please get in touch for more information. Please note that production prices include all HMRC alcohol duty and distilling licences paid for you.

*Note that it is a legal requirement for the label to state the name and address of the distillery where a spirit was made or bottled.
